Can God be
measured in terms of physics and mathematics and therefore be proven
to exist? Dr. Close thinks so. Beginning with the premise, based on
the Copenhagen Interpretation in quantum mechanics, that "no phenomenon
is a real phenomenon until it is observed" (or as Aldous Huxley
put it more succinctly, Consciousness is the ground of all being),
he argues that consciousness must have existed before matter. I would
like to think of it as a scientific way of saying, in the beginning
was the Word....
According
to Dr. Close [This book] discusses the need for a new science
that integrates mind and matter. To this end, an adaptation of George
Spencer Browns Laws of Form is developed. This adaptation, called
the Calculus of Distinctions, is capable of describing the interaction
of consciousness and matter by placing consciousness in the equations
describing reality. Transcendental Physics restores meaning to science
and opens the door to rational explanations of the complete spectrum
of human experience.
